      Memphis Union Station was a passenger terminal in Memphis, Tennessee, serving the Missouri Pacific Railroad, St. Louis Southwestern Railway, Louisville and Nashville Railroad, Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway and Southern terminal, completed in , was built in the Beaux-Arts style and was located on Calhoun Street, between south Second Street and Rayburn Boulevard. Memphis provided WWII with one of its most enduring symbols – the Memphis Belle, the first B bomber to successfully complete 25 missions over Europe. The plane and its crew logged more t combat miles, all without a single casualty. The bomber was named for Margaret Polk, a Memphis sweetheart of the plane’s pilot, Robert Morgan.
